setcapture − set the source of the sound card capture input |

setcapture [inputname [volume]] |
|
setcapture sets the audio capture source for the default sound card. Audio subsequently recorded from the card will come from that source. Optionally, the volume of the capture source can be set. If no options are specified, setcapture will list the possible capture sources. |

inputname |

The name of the input to be sent to the capture device. The list of possible names can be listed by running setcapture with no options. |

volume |
The volume to set. Use "amixer cget |
|
iface=MIXER,name=’Capture Volume’" to see the volume range. |
